I’ve been dying to share the full project for Audrey Whelan Creative with you guys, and it’s finally time! During our project, Audrey and I discovered how similar we are, and also how similar our ideal clients are. This made it so much fun to design her brand and website (but you’ll notice that even with the similarities between us and our clients, our brands are still different 😉)
Audrey’s color palette, designs, and website are high-end but fun. Audrey’s “why” is so unique, and she wants empower women to show up and be seen for who they are and make more money and more waves doing just that.
One of my favorite quotes from Audrey’s questionnaires at the beginning of our project is: “I want to impact business owners by helping them build invaluable connections with their clients. I want to lead by example in my business, and share valuable knowledge and inspirational content with my community. I want to show other women that it’s more than possible to build a life and a business you love while positively impacting others.”
Here’s what Audrey had to say about working together:
It was so clearly DIYed. I was attempting to keep things somewhat cohesive and consistent on socials, but knew that I was missing the mark majorly. I honestly didn’t have much of a visual identity.
SO GOOD! I feel super confident in the way my brand is visually represented–from my logo and other brand elements to the way my website represents AWC.
Literally a dream! I felt so seen throughout the entire process. I felt comfortable sharing things with you and being fully open and transparent which is so hard to come by. I felt like you validated alllllll my feelings–from being a “YES, but I’m scared,” about the investment, to the nerves that came up around my launch, to the pressure I put on myself to get things juuuuust right… you literally understood and held space for all of it.
I felt like you truly wanted what’s best for me and didn’t shy away from explaining why you made certain decisions or what elements sent what messages.
You were easy to communicate with, punctual, supportive, collaborative, and thorough!
I love how ME it feels! It feels warm and inviting and professional and personable and fun and high-end, allllll at the same time. I love my site. I love how well the copy and visuals work together. I love my primary and secondary logos–they legit make me so happy lol. This question is tough because I literally love all of it.
I can show up more confidently. I have a lot more clarity around my values, my why, my vision. I integrate those things into my process, my content, and my conversations with clients/potential clients now. I spend MUCH LESS TIME messing around on Canva lmao because I actually know how to incorporate my brand elements into graphics/images.
I’ve gotten so many compliments on my new site and brand! And I’ve had people tell me that seeing my new site, brand, and copy inspired them to upgrade their copy.
Do the dang thing. Do it scared. Proper branding absolutely WILL set you apart as more established, more recognizable, and more professional. But not only that, it will also give you more clarity and confidence than you realize. You’ll walk away knowing more about yourself, your business, your why, your values, who you truly want to serve, and so much more.
Remember that what got you HERE won’t get you THERE. Meaning, your DIY-ed Canva logo and makeshift Squarespace website will only take you so far. Speaking from experience lmao.
When I decided I wanted to invest in a brand and web designer, one of my biggest concerns was, “How am I going to tell them what I want? I have no idea what I want.” And Jordan absolutely pulled it out of me in a way I was NOT expecting. It’s beyond anything I could’ve ever described myself.
I knew I could trust Jordan to work and act in my best interest. I knew that her biggest goal was my success and growth. I trusted her eye and her knowledge. I trusted her process. I trusted that she wouldn’t make my brand and website look the same as all of her other clients. I trusted her integrity.
