Today we’re chatting allllll about my project with Devon Hansford Photography! Devon is truly such a gem, and I’m so grateful that we got to work together. This brand is full of warmth, happiness, and all the things that make Devon, well, Devon!
We worked carefully with this design to marry who Devon is with what her dream clients want to see and connect with. Our ideal client profile revealed Devon wants to work with young, adventurous, creative, passionate, funny people that were looking for more documentary style photographs. The kind of people that appreciate quality over quantity but are willing to splurge on the finer things. Those that thoroughly enjoy serving others from a place of love and passion for what they do. Friends, we nailed it!
Devon’s color palette, designs, and website are warm and inviting. The mountain graphics represent her adventurous side, while the logos and submarks themselves feel intimate and emotional.
Here’s what Devon had to say about working together:
How did you feel about your visual identity before we started working together?
“Yucky” is truly the best word for how I felt. I would actively avoid going on my own website because it looked so unlike me and what I wanted to portray for my business.
How do you feel about your brand now that our project is complete?
LOOOOVE it!!! I feel more professional and organized when creating content, along with simply feeling more personally and intimately intact with my brand. I am my brand.
How would you describe your experience working with me?
It was seriously great – You walked me through everything and gave me all the information and tools I needed to do my part of our project. I felt confident that you would create a website and branding visuals that were true to who I am along with my business. My favorite part was that you took the time to get to know me and my business first!
What do you love most about your new branding and Showit website?
That’s tricky because I truly love it all. I’ll say how cohesive everything is. For the first time in the (almost) two years I’ve been running my business, my website and social media platforms correlate. One thing isn’t vastly different from the other.
How has your new visual design impacted the way you do business?
It’s made things so simple when it comes to creating content for social media and admin tasks for the back end of my business. I have a color palette and fonts that I love, I have logos and designs – all I have to do is put things together. Before I had any of these things professionally done, I was constantly trying to create my own logos, pick my own (web generated) color palettes, changing my fonts – Nothing felt *right* and nothing was consistent.
Have you experienced any positive reactions since revealing your new brand?
Heck yeah! I’ve gotten compliments on my branding and I have seen an increase in engagement with my business.
What would you say to a friend who was on the fence about investing in my design experience?
DO IT. Your time is more valuable than money and you’re going to waste so much time trying to DIY your branding when you could save it and invest in a quality and professional branding package that is sure to benefit your business.
