Before Haley ever reached out to work with me, I already knew I loved her. My husband and I hired her for our own portraits when we were in Austin, Texas for a wedding last year, and from the moment she showed up with her calm presence and her crazy-good eye for light and composition, I knew she was the real deal. So when she reached out asking about branding and web design, I knew it was going to be a DREAM!
Haley’s story didn’t start with a 10-year portfolio or an overflowing client list, it started with vision. From the moment she reached out, I knew this wasn’t going to be a typical rebrand. Haley was newer to the scene, yes, but she had a deep understanding of the kind of business she wanted to build: timeless, personal, and editorial in the most emotionally resonant way.
What set her apart right away was her more masculine-leaning shooting style—full of negative space, natural movement, and a kind of poetic quiet that felt editorial without being performative. Her work had clarity and restraint, and she was already drawing in couples who didn’t just want Pinterest-perfect, they wanted something that felt like them. But her old brand and website weren’t articulating her strength, her taste, or her emotional depth.
She needed the visual container to match the caliber of what she was already creating—and to raise the ceiling for what she could charge, who she could reach, and how she could scale. And that’s where I come in!
What became foundational to this brand (though Haley never outright said it) was a single offhand comment in our early conversations: that the only brand she truly follows and keeps up with is Ralph Lauren. That one sentence told me everything. Not because she wanted her brand to look like a fashion ad, but because she was drawn to the same qualities Ralph Lauren embodies: timelessness, restraint, and effortless sophistication.
I pulled that thread and used it as quiet direction behind the scenes, crafting a visual identity that would resonate deeply with the kind of couples who admire classic design, intentional living, and elegance that doesn’t have to scream to be noticed. It inspired the equestrian undertones, the hand-drawn horse illustration, the tailored typography, and even the soft plaid pattern woven into her materials.
From her brand homework, I pulled out three core themes that drove this project:
Her mention of Ralph Lauren, Hermes, and her love of rich earth tones led us to a creative direction that felt classic, equestrian, and tailored, like something you’d find in the pages of Town & Country but without the snobbery.
Haley’s brand identity was designed to mirror the way she photographs: thoughtfully, selectively, and with just the right amount of edge. Every element of the design system had a specific purpose, and because I had already experienced her work firsthand, I knew exactly how powerful it could be when reflected back through brand visuals that matched her depth and restraint.
We leaned into elements that quietly evoke equestrian influence without being overt or themed. Several of her monogram-style logos were intentionally designed to feel like something you’d see stamped into a leather halter or stitched onto a stable sign—because her brand needed to signal taste, tradition, and presence. The horse bit submark in particular is one of my favorite touches. It adds sophistication while anchoring the brand to its roots, nodding to timeless craftsmanship and quiet strength.
Her initials are used in multiple formats, each one drawing subtle inspiration from the heritage of luxury equestrian brands. Paired with the hand-drawn horse illustration and elegant typography, this system offers plenty of range without losing cohesion.
This is the kind of brand that doesn’t ask for attention, it earns it, quietly and confidently. This isn’t a brand you scroll past, it’s a brand you remember.
Haley’s Showit website is more than a portfolio, it’s a proof of concept. Every section is structured to take a visitor from casual browser to full-body yes. Here’s how:
This site was designed not just to look good—but to work beautifully at every touchpoint. It’s built to feel like a slow scroll through a fashion magazine: rich with whitespace, intentional in its pacing, and grounded in clarity.
Haley’s reaction was everything I hoped for—and then some:
She’s since told me that her inquiry volume has more than tripled, and the quality of clients landing in her inbox has leveled up dramatically. She’s booking faster, commanding higher prices, and feeling more confident in how she shows up. She even landed a destination wedding in Italy with a couple who found her through the new site!
Haley is the kind of client designers dream of—clear, collaborative, and fully committed to building something meaningful. She didn’t try to play it safe. She didn’t ask to look like everyone else. She came in with clarity and curiosity, and trusted me to do what I do best: translate all of that into something bold, lasting, and completely her.
Haley’s brand doesn’t just look elevated. It is elevated, because every single choice was rooted in who she is, who she serves, and what she’s building next. She’s no longer whispering her value. She’s freaking commanding it.
I’m a designer who’s just as comfortable talking sales psychology and pricing as I am talking color psychology and mood boards.
