Custom Brand & Showit Website for Naomi Phelps Photography

Naomi Phelps is one of those rare souls who radiates warmth the moment you meet her. She’s vibrant, joyful, impossibly kind, and has a way of making you feel instantly at ease, the exact energy she brings into every session she photographs. Her work is full of movement, color, tenderness, and truth. But when she came to me, her visuals weren’t telling that story yet.

She described her visual identity simply: “I had no direction. I had no voice. I knew the photographer I wanted to be — I just didn’t have a brand that reflected her.” She wasn’t looking for a rebrand; she was looking for a beginning, a way to step fully into the artist she already was.

From our first video call, we clicked immediately. Naomi’s personality is bright and emotional in the most grounded way, and the space between us felt like a conversation with an old friend. She told me she’d explored other designers, but the moment she read my About page and looked through my portfolio, she knew we were a values match. When someone can recognize themselves in your work, the collaboration becomes effortless.

What Naomi really wanted was something joyful and elevated, colorful and confident, refined and personality-filled. Something that honored the bright, intentional way she captures people’s stories. Something she could grow with. Something that finally felt like her.

This project quickly became one of my favorite examples of brand and Showit website design for photographers who want to embrace color, connection, and personality without losing the elevated, luxurious feel their work deserves.

Naomi’s photography is unmistakably true-to-color, full of authenticity and emotion. But none of that was coming through in her old presence. She had been relying on pieces that felt mismatched, a temporary identity that didn’t support the quality, care, and connection she brings to her clients. She knew her business was ready for more, but she didn’t have the visual language to express it.

Our work together began by pulling back the curtain on who she really is: how she sees the world, how she wants people to feel, and what makes her approach so special. And what emerged was a brand rooted in joy, genuine connection, and the beautifully colorful lens through which Naomi sees life.

As her story unfolded, it became clear that color wasn’t just an aesthetic preference for her. It was emotional. It was expressive. It was a reflection of how she views people and love and celebration. So instead of toning that down, we gave it structure (intentional, elevated, luxurious structure) without losing the exuberance that makes her art unforgettable.

The moment her palette came to life, Naomi saw herself in it. The grounding navy. The vibrant pop of pink. The bright, confident yellow. The soft, effortless blush and blue that added breathability. Everything came together in a way that felt both striking and sophisticated, bold but not overpowering, joyful yet refined. It was the visual clarity she had been waiting for.

The heart of this brand comes from the personal layers woven throughout it.

Naomi’s home is full of beloved pets. Fluffy personalities, soft feathers, tiny joyful creatures who are truly part of her life. Including them felt natural, so I brought in my incredibly talented illustrator friend, Lauren, to draw each one. Seeing Naomi’s reaction when she first viewed the illustrations is a moment I’ll hold forever. These were pieces of her story, elevated into art and thoughtfully integrated into her brand.

Those illustrations became patterns and tiny love notes sprinkled throughout her website and packaging, small reminders that luxury doesn’t have to sacrifice heart.

Aaand because Naomi and I share a deep love for Disney, we couldn’t resist adding hidden Mickeys throughout her site. They’re tiny pieces of magic that reward curiosity and celebrate her joy-filled spirit!

Everything — the color, the illustrations, the typography, the website layout — was crafted to express Naomi’s personality with intention. Nothing is too loud, chaotic, or trendy. Every detail is deeply, unapologetically her.

Once the brand direction settled into place, Naomi’s website became a natural extension of the story we were building. Her photography carries so much emotion that the site needed to feel like an experience, not a brochure. Each page was structured to welcome, guide, and support the visitor, mirroring the way Naomi cares for her clients from the first inquiry to the final image delivery.

We wove her images throughout in a way that celebrated them, allowing her work to breathe while still giving the design its moment. The layout guided visitors through her offerings without ever feeling salesy. Every detail, from the movement of the page to the softness of the transitions, was crafted to reflect the kind of experience Naomi gives her clients.

For her weddings page, we built a beautifully branded lead-capture system that allows visitors to request her pricing guide — a simple but powerful addition that now grows her email list and nurtures leads automatically. It transformed her website into a strategic tool, not just a digital home.

Naomi’s transformation is one I still think about often — not because the visuals were beautiful (and they were), but because of how she felt when she saw them.

She wrote: “My brand is 1000% me. If I could take me and put it into a brand, this would be it.”

That is the highest compliment I could ever receive as a designer, that someone feels seen inside the brand you built for them.

Her new identity gave her permission to take up more space. To show up as the vibrant, emotional, colorful artist she’s always been. To communicate her value with confidence. To attract clients who immediately understand what makes her work special. To grow without feeling held back by a brand that wasn’t aligned.

She even had custom packaging created using her new branding! That’s how you know she means business. Every detail elevated. Every touchpoint intentional. Every piece a reflection of Naomi’s heart.

“My new brand and website is a DREAM. It’s exactly what I didn’t know I wanted and so much more. I wanted real, genuine, authentic, and joyful — and it is that to the T. If you want someone who can represent what you do and who you are, and make it so you’re not some cookie-cutter business, then you want Jordan. She’s worth the investment.”

Working with Naomi was a joy. She trusted the process, embraced color with confidence, and allowed herself to be fully represented, not muted or molded into something generic, but celebrated for exactly who she is.

Her brand now reflects the heart behind her lens. Her website reflects the experience she provides. And the growth she’s stepping into is only just beginning.

This is the reason I love crafting brand and Showit website design for photographers who are ready to step into a more confident, aligned, expressive version of their business. If Naomi’s transformation feels like the one you’ve been dreaming of, I’d love to build something unforgettable for you, too. Inquire here!
